Diorissimo is a luminous floral fragrance created by French master perfumer Edmond Roudnitska for the house of Christian Dior. Launched in 1956, it was designed to capture the delicate scent of lily of the valley — a flower deeply loved by Christian Dior himself. He planted it in his garden, tucked it into his lapel, and even adorned his personal stationery with its graceful form. It was also the muse behind his Spring 1954 couture collection.

Yet lily of the valley, as fleeting as spring itself, yields no essential oil. To bring its elusive scent to life, Roudnitska turned to the art of molecular composition, crafting a green-white floral accord that would become one of perfumery’s greatest triumphs. Diorissimo remains the most celebrated interpretation of the flower ever created.
